Dog Food
We have a vast array of highly delicious and supremely nutritious dog food available right here. We (as any normal human should!) absolutely love dogs. And so it is only right that we are able to bring together a range of food that will make them happy and keep them healthy. Food is, for animals as for humans, one of the absolute cornerstones of well-being. By getting this part of their routine right, you will be setting your pup up for perfect energetic and joyful days!
Dog food by type
When you take a look through our range, you will see that there is a wide variety of types of dog food available. The main choice to make is between wet and dry dog food. We would recommend, though, that you go for a combination. Canned dog food is always a lovely treat for your pet. This moist dog food will have plenty of melt in the mouth ingredients including high quality meat that will be sure to get the tail wagging. However, kibble dog food is also great to include in your feeding routine because the crunching will help promote gum and teeth health and can even improve the breath of your dog.
You will also see that we have dog food - both wet and dry - which specifically caters for dogs of all different ages. The puppy dog food will focus on what a young dog needs as they are growing and developing, such as a boost to their underdeveloped immune system. And food for younger dogs of different breeds will also have specific variations. Smaller dogs will only need enough energy, for example, for a short, sharp growth spurt. Whereas a rottweiler puppy food will need to contain enough energy to support growth and muscle development over a longer period of time.
With adult dog food, there does not need to be quite the same combination of nutrients, because their bodies will not be growing, but instead need to be kept at a steady, healthy weight. Then, with the senior dog food, you will see that many of the meal options take care to include nutrients which will help support joint and bone health, as these areas can become issues at advanced ages.
Dog food by breed
Another way to search the wonderfully wide array of top quality dog food is by the size of the breed of dog in question. We have lots of great small dog food, where there is a focus on the food being as palatable as possible so those lovely little dogs can chew and digest the smaller chunks easily. This is ideal for maltese dogs and would also be great for dogs such as yorkies, pugs, corgis, dachshunds, french bulldogs and shih tzus.
There is then plenty of superb medium breed dog food, so that you can be sure to pick up some top quality labrador dog food, as well as large breed dog food and giant breed dog food. The larger the breed of dog, the more protein they will have to take on board. As well as that, if you have a large or giant dog as a puppy, then they will also need specially adapted energy content so that they can have enough energy to power through their intense growth spurts, but without piling on too much weight. This is really important for dogs such as bulldogs whose joints would come under stress should they become overweight.
In general, the food for larger breeds in our collection focuses on this issue of joint and bone health. Large breed dog food and giant breed dog food will have been formulated to give the bigger dogs what they need to make sure their bones and joints are less likely to suffer any pain or stress. As a result, this is ideal german shepherd dog food territory, as well as being perfect for dogs such as boxers and retrievers.
By dietary requirements
As well as breed specific dog food, you can also take a look at plenty of dog food which has been developed for dogs with special dietary requirements. For those with problematic digestion, you can take a look through a great range of sensitive dog food options. Many digestive issues in dogs are helped by cutting out grain, therefore there is also the option of picking up some no grain dog food.
For those dogs who need some help with weight management, you will see that there are plenty of metabolic dog food options here too. These will deliver just the same level of important vitamins and nutrients, and fill your dog's tummy, whilst also making it easier for your dog not to put on any weight.
Other dogs need help with urinary issues, and so we have made sure to have some urinary care dog food in our range as well. An adapted high quality source of protein, as well as other specific developments to the food formula, is able to take the pressure off renal workload. This makes these meals just the thing to use for your dog if they have been diagnosed with chronic renal insufficiency.
